现任职于威尼斯7798cc计算机学院、湖北省智能机器人重点实验室,美国天普大学访问学者。主要从事智能机器人、自动驾驶、模式识别和图像处理等领域的基础理论和应用研究。主持国家自然科学基金2项,主持或参与其他国家级、省部级项目10余项。在包括IEEETGRS/TIP/TMM/TNNLS/TITS/GRSL/JSTARS、IJCV、PR、CEA、AAAI、IJCAI、ICME、ICRA、ICIP、计算机研究与发展、华中科技大学学报等在内的重要国内外学术刊物、学术会议发表论文70余篇,其中SCI检索27篇(一作/通作14篇、ESI高被引论文4篇、ESI热点论文3篇、一区SCI 5篇、二区SCI 6篇),EI检索65余篇(CCF A类会议2篇,CCF B类会议5篇,CCF C类会议5篇);发表论文谷歌学术总引用1351次(单篇最高408次),H因子为12。SCI他引1133次(单篇最高368次)。获湖北省自然科学奖一等奖1项(排名第四)。
